Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall Open House set for Thursday, July 19

Grand Valley State University is holding an open house at Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall, the newest addition to the GVSU health campus, located at 500 Lafayette Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI. The new building will be open for visitors on Thursday, July 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

The open house will allow visitors to take a self-guided tour and will include refreshments and live music. The event is open to GVSU students, faculty, staff and community members. No RSVP is necessary.

Color Run to take place at Calder Plaza 

The city of Grand Rapids is setting up to host The Color Run on Saturday, July 28. The race will take place at Calder Plaza from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

The Color Run is a five kilometer race that celebrates color and is meant to promote health and happiness. Participants will enjoy color throws, music and dancing.

Picnic in the Park with RE/MAX

RE/MAX of Grand Rapids is hosting its third annual Picnic in the Park on Thursday, July 19 at Ah-Nab-Awen Park.

This is a free event that includes live music, food vendors, a balloon walk and more. The picnic is a kickoff to the Grand Rapids Balloon Festival, which will be taking place Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21.

Food Truck Fridays at Riverside Park 

The Grand Rapids Food Truck Association is partnering with GR Loves Food Trucks to bring a series of Food Truck Fridays at Riverside Park. The event is scheduled to take place every Friday in July and August from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Each Friday there will be a variety of food trucks with different options including vegan and gluten free. All trucks will accept both cash and credit cards.
