START: Justin Herbert – Herbert looked impressive in his NFL debut, throwing for 311 yards and both a passing and rushing touchdown. The week, Herbert will be at least prepared to start his game against the Carolina Panthers. Unlike last week when he was thrown into the game five minutes before kickoff against the defending Super Bowl champions, he will face a team with a horrendous defense and will be ready to play. Herbert has a variety of play makers to throw the ball to like running backs Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley, tight end Hunter Henry, and wide receiver Keenan Allen. All of these players should have good games against the Panthers, and Herbert should be picked off waivers for any fantasy players who have quarterback concerns this week.

SIT: Jared Goff – Goff and the Los Angeles Rams have looked good this season. They’ve won both their games and Goff has averaged 17.24 points a game. However, Goff and the Rams have only played the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, two teams with struggling secondaries. This week, Goff will play a Buffalo Bills team that ranks twelfth in opposing QB points. Against a great defense, Goff should be benched for another starting QB like Mitchell Trubisky or even Phillip Rivers as they face softer opponents.

START: Devin Singletary: So far this season, Singletary hasn’t been a viable starting RB in fantasy leagues. He’s only averaging 9.95 points per game and has yet to reach the endzone. This week however, he will not split touches with fellow RB Zack Moss. Moss has been ruled out of the Bills week three game against the L.A. Rams with a toe injury. With the majority of touches coming Singletary’s way out of the backfield, he should see good point production this week against a Rams defense that has averaged 30.15 points a week to running backs.

START: Jerick McKinnon – Mckinnon has been a pleasant surprise this season, averaging 13.55 points per game so far. Last week against the New York Jets, McKinnon scored 13.7 points with 77 rushing yards and a TD. This week, the San Francisco 49ers will again face a bad defense as they match up against the New York Giants. The 49ers will be without backs Raheem Mostert and Telvin Coleman, as both have been ruled out of the game. McKinnon should see a bundle of touches and should start for any fantasy teams looking for a RB this week.

SIT: Sony Michel – Michel has had a disappointing career thus far not only on the field but for fantasy football teams. Has averaged a mere 5.8 points a game and he came just shy of two points last week against the Seattle Seahawks. While the New England Patriots are without lead back James White as he deals with the tragic news of his parent car accident, Michel should not be put in his place. Michel shouldn’t be in starting lineups this week and beyond.

SIT: David Johnson – The Houston Texan have had a rough start to the 2020 NFL season. Their offense has looked off and is still searching for answers. It doesn’t help that their first two games were against the Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens. It won’t get easier in week three, as the Texans will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have the best pass rushing unit in the league and the Texans offensive line will not be up for the challenge. Enter starting RB David Johnson, who will have an extremely difficult time generating yardage on the ground. Pittsburgh is ranked fifth on defense to opposing running backs this season and Johnson should be on the bench.

START: Allen Robinson – So far this fantasy year, Robinson has been underwhelming. He ranks fiftieth among receivers and he has only averaged 9.3 points. It doesn’t help him that Trubisky has a knack for throwing inaccurate balls his way almost every game. This week however should be Robinson’s breakout game. To put it kindly, the Atlanta Falcons secondary is not good.. They have given up an average of 46.25 points to receivers this season. In a high scoring game, Robinson should make his case as one of the best receivers in the league and that he deserves a long term extension.

START: Corey Davis – Davis has looked great this season for the Tennessee Titans as he ranks twentieth among receivers in PPR leagues. Without fellow receiver A.J. Brown this week against the Minnesota Vikings, he should continue to see production on the field. The Vikings secondary is even worse than the Falcons, giving up 53.05 points to opposing wide outs. Without Brown this week, Davis should be the Titans number one target.

SIT: Jarvis Landry – The Cleveland Browns offense has looked completely different this season. Under new head coach Kevin Stefanski, the team has utilized their two star running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. That run heavy attack has been detrimental to Landry and his fantasy production so far this year. He has averaged only 9.35 points a game and ranks forty ninth among receivers. That shouldn’t change this week against the Washington Football Team. He was targeted only three times last week and he may not see many more in week three as the Browns continue to run the ball.

SIT: Emmanuel Sanders – Well, that was a disappointing week for Sanders. Without number one receiver Michael Thomas, many expected Sanders to have a huge game for the New Orleans Saints. He rewarded fans with one catch for 33 yards. Perhaps Sanders will bounce back in week three against the Green Bay Packers. As a free agent in many leagues, fantasy players should wait to pick him up until he can prove himself on the field as a starting fantasy receiver.

START: Jordan Reed – For the past several seasons, TE Jordan Reed has looked washed. He signed with the 49ers this offseason as the backup to star TE George Kittle. Very few people thought he’d be fantasy relevant ever again, but Reed proved the doubters wrong by catching seven passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns last week.  This week against the Giants, Reed can again have a big game. San Francisco is without an abundance of players on offense like QB Jimmy Garoppolo, Kittle, and their top two running backs. Against a weak defense and as one of the very few play markers available to target, Reed should start this week for fantasy players.

SIT: Tyler Higbee – Higbee currently ranks as the fifth fantasy TE, averaging 17.7 points a game. He had three touchdowns last week against the Eagles, but in week three he will face a much tougher Bills defense. While Higbee may have a good game this week, there are players available with higher upside. TE Drew Sample of the Cincinnati Bengals will face the Eagles and has a chance to see the same type of production Higbee had last week. If fantasy players have another viable TE on their roster, it may be smart to start them over Higbee.

KICKER: Harrison Butker – This week’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs should be a great game. Two of the league’s best quarterbacks will face off in a high scoring affair. Butker will have ample opportunities to kick field goals and he has a chance to score the most points out of any kickers this week.

DEFENSE: Arizona Cardinals – The Detroit Lions offense has struggled this season. Even with number one receiver Kenny Golladay back in the fold, the Lions should still have a hard time beating the Arizona Cardinals. I suspect the Cardinals defense will have a few sacks and even intercept QB Matthew Stafford. I’d start the Cardinals defense this week.
