Disturbed to perform in Grand Rapids
Disturbed is bringing their “Take Back Your Life” tour to the Van Andel Arena on Jan. 22, alongside both Falling in Reverse and Plush. The night of heavy metal begins at 6:30 p.m., with tickets for the concert available on Ticketmaster.
Stand-up comedy at downtown venue
Stand-up comedians Roy Wood Jr. and Jordan Klepper will perform at GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids on Jan. 25, as part of their “America, For The Last Time” tour.

LGBT Resource Center to host Queer Jeopardy
Grand Valley State University’s Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center is hosting a “Queer Jeopardy” competition on Jan. 24 from 5-7 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be provided for participants, as well as prizes for winners.

Open Minds Book Club to meet at Pew campus
The Open Minds Book Club will be reading and discussing “Rescuing Socrates: How the Great Books Changed My Life and Why They Matter For a New Generation” on Jan. 24 in the Richard M. DeVos Center’s Meijer Regency Room. The discussion will go from 4-6 p.m. and will include free copies of the book for the first 20 individuals to register for the event.
Guest recital performance comes to Allendale campus
