Throughout the semester, GVSU’s Alcohol Campus Education Services hosts daily recovery meetings that pertain to alcohol and drug use. Students, faculty, community members and staff are welcome to attend meetings “To shape a community that engages and challenges students to make healthy life-long decisions regarding alcohol and other drugs,” which is the mission statement of the group. Special sessions are even held for women. All meetings last roughly an hour. The meetings are located at the Water Tower Place in Allendale, next to the Health Center. These meetings are a useful source of support and a great tool for those struggling with addictions.
