On June 22, Grand Valley State University’s Pew Grand Rapids campus played host to the fourth annual Summer Internship Olympics.

More than 260 interns from Grand Valley State University and other West Michigan colleges competed at the Summer Internship Olympics, divided into teams to complete a scavenger hunt through downtown Grand Rapids.

Competing students held positions as summer interns at Amway, Bissell Homecare, Steelcase, Gordon Food Service, Spectrum Health, Meijer, Perrigo and Wolverine Worldwide.

Rob Bliss, from Rob Bliss Productions, spoke to participants about the importance of having an entrepreneurial spirit and working to promote and support Grand Rapids and West Michigan as a whole.
