The Grand Valley Police Department told Grand Valley State University News and Information Service today that the individual who reported an attempted sexual assault Wednesday evening on the Allendale Campus has been recanted. The student has reported now that the incident never occurred.

Another report of an attempted sexual assault was made to GVPD two weeks ago, but since then has also been recanted by the student who reported the incident.
