Cider and donuts with the dean
On Monday, Oct. 29, Grand Valley State University students have the opportunity to meet the new Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Dr. Loren Rullman.
The dean will be at the DeVos Center 125C from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. All GVSU students, faculty and staff are welcome and attendance is free. Those who attend the event will enjoy free apple cider and donuts, as well as the opportunity to meet and speak with Dr. Rullman.
This event is a great chance to connect with the dean and further welcome him into the GVSU community.
Experience the Martian invasion
Join the Grand Valley State University Martian Invasion party on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
The party, which is being hosted by a handful of GVSU departments and organizations, will include a look at the “Mars: Astronomy & Culture” exhibition, as well as live music, food and a live performance of “Mars: Bringer of War” by the GVSU Orchestra.
The event will start at 5 p.m. at the Haas Center for Performing Arts. At 7:00 p.m., the party will head to the Alexander Calder Fine Arts Center via an invasion-style parade. The first 50 attendees will receive a free Martian keychain.

PAGS to hold networking event
Graduate students are welcome to attend the PAGS Professional Development and Networking Event on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The event, which is the first of the academic year, will include a pancake breakfast and an hour of networking. Michael Wright, Global R&D Director at Ranir and Dawn Brackmann, Employment Attorney, will both be speaking at the event.
