The Women’s Center will be hosting a three-hour introductory seminar that covers the basics of the Rape Aggression Defense model. RAD is designed to empower women through self-awareness and discussions about basic fundamentals of prevention and self-defense. Participants will also be exposed to basic information about the most common crimes that take place on campus, methods of preventing those crimes and basic self-defense techniques. The seminar will be led by campus community police officers from the Grand Valley State University Police Department.
