Pair of former Lakers sign with NFL teams

Two former Grand Valley State University football players, guard Tim Lelito and wide receiver Charles Johnson, have found a home for the upcoming NFL season.

Lelito, an undrafted free agent, found a way to make the 53 man roster of the New Orleans Saints. The
2012 GLIAC Offensive Lineman of the Year impressed in the preseason, and even scored an
unconventional touchdown by recovering a fumble in the endzone against the Miami Dolphins.

Johnson, a seventh round draft pick in last year’s draft, has been signed to the practice squad of the
Green Bay Packers. He was a touchdown machine during his two seasons at GVSU, racking up 31
touchdowns in 22 career games.

The NFL season kicks off this week.
