On Saturday, the Grand Valley State University football (10-2) team will take on Colorado State-Pueblo University (11-0) in the second round of the Division II playoffs.

Colorado State-Pueblo has won 37 consecutive regular-season games.

The team ranks sixth nationally in total offense, averaging 518.5 yards per game.

Quarterback Chris Bonner is a Harlon Hill Trophy Region Four semifinalist, and set the school’s single season record for yards passing (3,116) and touchdown passes (30).

Defensive end Darius Allen ranks third in the country in sacks, averaging a total of 1.2 per contest.

Punter Brand Kliesen is second in the nation in punting average with 45.9 yards per kick.

The team sports transfers from Division I programs. Including Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, BYU, Wyoming and Illinois.

They average 43.8 points per game, while only allowing 18.5 points per game.
