GVSU accounting students meet future employers

About 200 Grand Valley State University accounting students interviewed and met with potential employers for jobs and/or internship positions in Grand Rapids on Sept. 14. Twenty-four companies including Plante Moran and BDO interviewed students at this event. The amount of potential employers there showed the demand for people in the accounting field, especially in Grand Rapids. GVSU was ranked in the top five percent of accounting programs in the nation last year, and this event gives the university’s students the opportunity to talk with local employers all the way to corporate size firms for internships and/or full-time jobs.
