A motor vehicle crash on Grand Valley State University’s Allendale Campus left one person hospitalized Thursday, Sept. 28.

According to GVSU Police Department Capt. Brandon DeHaan, the crash, which took place at the intersection of North Campus Drive and Ravine Center Drive, appears to have involved a pedestrian who was walking across the street. 

GVPD’s initial report indicates that the pedestrian was within the crosswalk when they were struck by a motor vehicle. DeHaan said the injuries at the time of the crash were identified as injuries to the head and the arm and were not life-threatening.

The struck pedestrian was transported to the hospital following the accident, and there is currently no further update regarding their medical condition. 

DeHaan said he has not had an update since the time of the crash, but the incident is still under investigation.
