Campus Dining celebrating 25 years in the business at GV

The Campus Dining office at Grand Valley State University has created its first scholarship that is awarded to one GVSU student each year. Tom Minor, the general manager of Campus Dining, emphasized that he wanted to do something unique to honor the office’s anniversary. The first scholarship recipient is Judy Ingles, who is a senior biomedical science major. Ingles has been a campus dining employee for more than three years and is also a student manager for Classic Fair Catering. This year, the award is for $2,500 for the anniversary but it is typically $1,500. Students that want to apply for the scholarship have to take at least 12 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.75. It is recommended that students applying have been employed with Campus Dining for two semesters, and recipients are chosen through Career Services and the Hospitality and Tourism Management offices.
