Grand Valley State University will be joining other area colleges and universities to present the fourth annual Grand Rapids Latin American Film Festival. These events will begin on April 4 with a showing of “Abel,” a Mexican film at Celebration Cinema North. These films will continue through April 5-7 at the Wealthy Theatre in downtown Grand Rapids. The festival’s films will have a total of 14 different screenings that all emphasize on different contemporary studies. This festival is sponsored by Aquinas College, Calvin College, Davenport University and Ferris State University. In addition, other sponsors include the Mexican Consulate in Detroit, and Chicago consulate offices of Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil.
