Janel Burgess, head coach of the Grand Valley State University women’s basketball team, picked up her 100th win Thursday in a 73-53 victory over Lake Superior State University.
Burgess is currently coaching in her sixth season for the Lakers with a career record of 101-62 (.620).
GVSU (17-6) won both of their games last week, also picking up a 60-57 victory over Northwood University on Saturday.
The team will travel to take on Saginaw Valley State University on Thursday at 8 p.m., then return home to welcome Wayne State University at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Fieldhouse Arena.
