Last Thursday, Grand Valley State University President Thomas Haas and students and faculty members from the various sciences gathered in front of the construction site for the new Science Laboratory Building to sign a steel beam that will be added to the structure. Construction of the 151,000-square-foot, four-story building is progressing on Campus Drive in Allendale next to the Fieldhouse Arena. When finished, the building will feature nine classrooms, 15 teaching laboratories, study spaces, offices and a greenhouse.
