OT, PT students provide service abroad

A remote village in Guatemala received therapeutic care from a group of 22 health professions students and faculty from Grand Valley State University during an interprofessional service-learning trip. This was the first time for occupational therapy students, but the fifth such trip for physical therapy students. Joining the health professions group was a group of occupational therapy students and 10 speech therapists from Washington State University. The 10-day trip was organized by Hearts in Motion, an Indiana-based organization that provides medical care to the United States, Central America and South America.
