Ebels, Ruhenkamp and Umoh earn All-GLIAC honors
The Grand Valley State University volleyball team ended its season on Thursday, but on Saturday eight different Lakers picked up additional accolades.
Sophomore Abby Ebels and junior Eno Umoh, both middle blockers, earned All-GLIAC second team honors.
Umoh ended the season ranked second in the conference in solo blocks, assisted blocks, total rejections and blocks per set while Ebels finished the season second on the team in blocks and had GVSU’s top hitting percentage.
Freshman setter Clair Ruhenkamp was named an ALL–GLIAC honorable mention selection after collecting 731 assists in her first season at GVSU.
Cailie Johnson, Olivia Kohler, Courtney McCotter, Sam Phillips, Nicole Whiddon and Ebels rounded out the postseason awards after being named to the GLIAC All-Academic team.
