Lubbers Stadium construction begins
In an effort to increase capacity at Lubbers Stadium, work began recently to lower the football field by eight feet, turning the 8,500-seat stadium into a temporary sandbox. The work will increase seating capacity by 2,500 and allow for the installation of artificial turf. The spring football game will also have to be moved due to construction, but the project is expected to be completed for the fall.
