Disney College Program presentation
Representatives from the Disney College Program will be on campus Tuesday to share information with GVSU students. They will give presentations at both 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., both in Room 2263 of the Kirkhof Center. To learn more, visit www.disneycollegeprogram.com.
Dia de los Muertos
To celebrate the time of Halloween through the lens of a different culture, student groups will present “Dia de Los Muertos: Mourning Across the Globe” on Tuesday. Planned by Sigma Lambda Gamma, the event will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pere Marquette Room, 2204, of the Kirkhof Center.
Hawaiian Luau
The Fresh Food Co. on GVSU’s Allendale Campus will host a luau on Wednesday. It will last from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Korean culture festival
The K-Fest, which celebrates the culture and language of Korea, will take place Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8 in the Kirkhof Center’s Grand River Room. It includes free food and drinks for attendees, as well as dancing, singing and Taekwondo demonstrations.
Jack Johnson, presented by GVSU students
GVSU students who are also musicians will cover a smattering of Jack Johnson music on Saturday from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the Kirkhof Center lounge. The event is put on by GVSU Cover Lovers, and people will take on Jack Johnson songs in all genres.
