Grand Valley State University’s Arts at Noon will kick off its 37th season with a performance by a local jazz band called Cooper, Hay, Van Lente Group (CHV).

The event will be held at the Cook-DeWitt Center on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at noon.

CHV consists of members Jim Cooper, Dave Hay and Mike Van Lente. The band uses marimbas, keyboards and drums to make jazz music in the spirit of swing, fusion, Latin and world music rhythms.

Arts at Noon has also put up its full winter schedule, which includes acts such as the Grand Rapids Symphony, violinist Walter Verdehr and the Grand Valley Wings among others.
