Mar 26, 2012
Jeanine Beasley, associate professor of occupational therapy, got a chance to have her photograph taken with Gov. Rick Snyder at an event in Germany this week.
Snyder is overseas as part of a business trip on behalf of the state, and met Beasley at a reception.
Beasley fills in at the hand clinic she founded at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids. She has been an occupational therapist since 1979 but has been specializing in hand therapy since 1983. Beasley is a frequent guest lecturer and has spoken in 13 states and internationally.
Arn Boezaart, director of Grand Valley’s Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center, and Robert Smart, executive director of the Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence, accompanied Synder on his trip to Germany to meet with scientists, researchers and industry leaders.
