Former Colorado guard Deleon Brown enrolls in GVSU, set to play basketball this weekend
Sources inside GVSU basketball confirmed to Lanthorn Sports early Friday morning that former Colorado guard Deleon Brown has enrolled at Grand Valley State and will play for the Lakers this winter.
The guard from Grand Rapids appeared in nine games last season for the Buffalo, averaging 4.1 points per game in 21 minutes per game. Brown is expected to have a bigger role with the Lakers.
Brown joins a group of 11 new players donning the Laker Blue this season, with six being freshman recruits and five being transfers from other universities.
GVSU Women’s club lacrosse team in need of goalie for 2019-20 season
The Grand Valley State women’s lacrosse team announced that the team is in search of a goalie or two for the upcoming season.
Last season, the team won the WCLL North Division Championship for the second year in a row and made an appearance at the 2019 WCLA Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Rick Bolhuis resigns as GVSU Wrestling Club coach
The GVSU men’s club wrestling team announced that head coach Rick Bolhuis is stepping down. GVSU Club Sports has announced that John Sanderson has been appointed as interim Head Coach for the 2019-20 season.
The head coach of the program since 2006, Bolhuis created a culture of success on the mat at GVSU. During his tenure, seven wrestlers won national championships and almost 70 wrestlers earned All-American honors.
Bolhuis also earned numerous personal accolades, as he was named the NCWA National coach of the year in 2008 and was conference coach of the year five times. Bolhuis was inducted into the NCWA Hall of Fame-Circle of Champions in 2017.
