After a finish to the 2021-22 season, the GVSU women’s golf program is preparing themselves to face off against GLIAC conference rivals in a 54-hole event in Carmel, Indiana.

The Lakers took home the 2021-22 GLIAC Championship as they defeated Northwood University in a 4-1 win, securing their 16th GLIAC championship since 2000.

During the course of the regular season, GVSU also placed first in the 12th Annual Gilda’s Club Laker Fall Invite, the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Invite, the Davenport Panther Invitational and the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate Tournament.

GVSU could face some new challenges this season with a roster of five total athletes, however all five players are returning from the previous season and have the advantage of pre-established team chemistry.

The Indianapolis Fall Invite is scheduled for Sept. 12-13.
