Teens plead guitly to first-degree sexual conduct
Dec 2, 2012
A 14-year-old Grand Rapids boy who recently joined another teen in the September sexual assault and robbery of a GVSU student near John Ball Park Zoo, is anticipated to be on the sex-offender registry list for the remainder of his life. Marco Vasquez pleaded guilty this past Tuesday to first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He will be on probation until he is at least 19, and will most likely be sent to an institution for a long period of time, possibly for years. Because Vasquez pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct, he must register as a sex offender. Once he turns 18, his name will be on the sex-offender registry list. He is expected to be sentenced in 60 days.
