Planning committee searches for MLK week theme

The executive planning committee of the Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration week is looking for a theme for its 2014 celebration. Last year’s “Shake the World: Empower the Dream” celebration marked the first time Grand Valley State University did not hold classes on MLK day. The deadline to submit theme ideas is June 28. Students, faculty and staff can send proposals to Linda Ray in the Office of Multicultural Affairs, at [email protected]. For more information or to view photos from last year’s celebration, visit www.gvsu.edu/mlk.
