Engineers who have been investigating the erosion under the Little Mac Bridge since the beginning of September have found a solution to the issue. Based on the analysis, the work will begin today on restoring the foundations around the bridge. The reason for the restoration is to protect the area around the bridge from further erosion. Engineers are projecting that the restoration will take six to eight weeks, and the bridge will remain closed during that period.
