MAREC client creates solar panel technology

A business incubator at Grand Valley State University’s Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center has been the source for the creation of new solar panel technology. Solar 24, a device that captures solar energy during the day and stores it for use at night, was created by the MAREC client, Energy Partners, LLC. One of the founders of Energy Partners is former GVSU professor Jim Wolter, who also led the team that created Solar 24. The new technology was presented to the public at the Solar Power International Conference in Chicago Oct. 21 to 24.
