GVSU named best in Midwest

The Princeton Review named Grand Valley State University as one of the best universities in the Midwest. The list, which includes 155 colleges and universities, is based primarily on academic programs, but also used student surveys. This year’s ranking was included in the Review’s “2014 Best Colleges: Region by Region” feature. The publication also said only about 25 percent of the nation’s colleges and universities make the list.

Students surveyed said that GVSU has “a small college feel with the opportunities of a large university” and also praised the small class sizes and professors who are invested in the success of their students. GVSU was established in 1960 and has more than 24,000 students with tuition of approximately $10,454 a year for first-time undergraduate students.
