Fifth-year Woodson tallies career high at Walsh
Jan 13, 2014
Senior point guard Rob Woodson of the Grand Valley State University men’s basketball team had an impressive performance in a 75-66 loss at Walsh University on Thursday night in North Canton, Ohio as evidenced by a career-high point total.
Woodson tallied 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting to go with three assists and seemed to have success working off the pick and roll with junior forward Chaz Rollins.
The Inkster, Mich. native appears to be progressing in his first season as a starter. In his first three starts, he averaged 8.3 points per game but has since recorded an average of 13.8 in the following nine contests.
He currently leads the team with 43 assists and 18 steals on the year.
