GV alumna to host book talk

Today at 4:30 p.m. in 2215 Kirkhof Center, Grand Valley State University alumna Adrienne Trier-Bieniek will discuss her new book and how she turned to music after surviving the mass shooting at Virginia Tech, where she was a graduate student. The book, “Sing us a Song, Piano Woman,” is about the relationships female fans build with feminist musicians. Trier-Bieniek graduated from GVSU in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a minor in women and gender studies. The talk is approved by LIB 100 courses.
