L. William Seidman Center groundbreaking scheduled

Grand Valley State University will break ground tomorrow on the new L. William Seidman Center, the future home of the Seidman College of Business. The grond breaking begins at 5:30 p.m. at GVSU’s Pew Campus downtown, located at 38 Front Ave.
Named after Bill Seidman, founding chair of the GVSU Board of Trustees and former FDIC chair, the L. william Seidman Center is supported by more than 300 donors nation wide.
Remarks will begin at 6:15 p.m. and include speakers Rich DeVos, lead donor and general chairman of the Grand Valley University Foundation who first publicly approached the idea for building the building during Bill Seidman’s memorial tribute two years ago.
In addition to housing the Seidman College o Business, the L. William Seidman Center will be home to the Small Business and Technology Development Center, a federal, state and GVSU-sponsored program.
The center will mark the construction of GVSUs 16th LEED-certified building project.
