Registration for Student Scholars Day (SSD) opened today. Both undergraduate and graduate students are able to submit their work for a chance to be featured in SSD presentations held April 8 and in an art exhibition April 9.
The goal of the event, hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship, is to showcase and celebrate the research of students while encouraging collaboration with faculty. Sharing passion projects with a supportive community can promote continued scholarship and inspire students to develop their academic skills and craft.
Categories of submissions include posters, oral or recorded presentations, film and video, live performances, mini-zines and podcasts. Abstracts of student work and approval from faculty mentors or co-presenters are required for submission. Registration closes Friday, Feb. 27 at 11:59 p.m., and no late submissions will be accepted.
More details on registration guidelines and the style guide can be found on the SSD webpage. The SSD Committee looks forward to viewing and selecting work that reflects the excellence and diversity of GVSU students, according to a press release sent to the Lanthorn.
