Welcome Weekend Tie-Dye
On Thursday, Aug. 24 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Campus Activities Board (CAB) and the Office of Student Life are holding a tie-dyeing event at Kirkhof Center.
Students are encouraged to bring their own t-shirt, but limited quantities of shirts will also be provided. This is a free event. Limited tie-dyeing supplies available and are issues on a first come, first serve basis.
Beach Clean Up
On Saturday, Aug. 26 the Office of Student Life Civil Sector is holding a beach clean up event at Grand Haven State Park.
Students can RSVP through LakerLink and must submit a beach clean up registration form to secure your spot.
Campus Life Night
Grand Valley State University student organization kick-off the school year with Campus Life Night. The event will be held on Sunday, Aug. 27 in Lot H1. There will be 300+ student organizations, campus departments, local businesses and nonprofits in attendance.
The event is free and no registration is required. Many tables will have games, activities and tons of free giveaways like cups, bags and shirts. Student can stop by to learn more about what is offered on the extra curricular side at GVSU and see what everyone has planned for the fall semester.
Ultimate Frisbee and Yard Games
On Saturday, Aug. 26 Campus Ministries is holding ultimate frisbee among other yard games at the GVSU Rec Field #1 located at 10645 Laker Village Dr, Allendale, MI. This is a free event and students are encouraged to come regardless of their athletic ability and are encouraged to talk and meet new people.
Speed Friending
On Monday, Aug. 28 Campus Activities Board (CAB) and the Office of Student Life will be holding a speed friending event at Kirkhof Center from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
If you love meeting new people, making friends and doing fun quizzes and answering fun questions. This is a free event to attend. Student are encouraged to bring their friends or meet some new ones there.
