GVSU issues safety warning

The Grand Valley State University police contacted students around 1 a.m. on Oct. 9 to make students aware of a reported crime on campus. The report stated that a man with possible knife demanded money from student near Performing Arts Center on Allendale Campus at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 8. There were no reported injuries. GVPD is advising students to walk in well-lit areas, walk in pairs or call campus police for a SafeWalk, 616-331-3255. GVPD added that students who feel threatened should call 911. Anyone with information about this incident can contact the GVSU campus police at 616-331-3255.
