New England is favored, but I don’t really know why. New York has gone on the road and beaten the two best teams in the NFC Playoffs after beating the Pats in the regular season. Eli Manning has been great and New York’s receivers can expose the Pats’ bad secondary.
Plus, the Giants are just a team of destiny.

The Patriots will win because revenge is motivation in itself. The Giants spoiled New England’s 2007 Super Bowl hopes and since falling to the Giants in week nine, New England has scored 35.9 points per game, and in the playoffs given up only 15 points per game.

I’d put my money on the Patriots. They may not have the hype and momentum that the Giants have right now, but they should put up a good game. I think the Patriots will win because they have more talent, better depth and a better coach in Bill Belichick.

Tom Brady is back in the big game for a fifth time and the loss in Super Bowl 42 is still haunting him. I think it will be a role reversal from that season with the Pats defense stepping up, and stopping the Giants hot streak.

Tom Brady plays for the Patriots, and wide receiver David Tyree isn’t there to bail Eli Manning out.

Brady vs. Manning— the rematch everyone wants to see. Brady certainly wins the popularity contest, but that doesn’t mean elite quarterback Eli Manning will shy away. This will be left to the battle between kickers, Stephen Gostkowksi vs. Lawrence Tynes, to decide it.

New England’s pass protection steps up and stops New York’s Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul, and Tom Brady earns his third Super Bowl MVP award. The Giants’ star receiver Victor Cruz is blanketed by coverage all game and is completely
nonexistent.
