Restaurant Week to show off Grand Rapids’ finer cuisines

Haley Otman

More than 50 restaurants will participate in Grand Rapids’ inaugural Restaurant Week from Nov. 4 to 13.

Restaurant Week opens participating restaurants to offer a special price-fixed menu. Patrons can sample food from places they might not otherwise be able to afford.

Each restaurant has agreed to offer a meal of at least three courses for $20.10 per person (because it is 2010).

Some participating restaurants include 25 Kitchen & Bar, Gilly’s at The B.O.B. and Mojo’s Dueling Piano Bar & Restaurant.

At Noto’s Old World Italian Dining, diners can enjoy a choice of any three items from their four-course menu, including appetizers such as a truffle gnocchi, pastas such as squid ink with scallops and saffron tomato sauce, entrees such as freshwater perch and desserts such as a peach linzer torte.

At Tre Cugini, diners can choose from a Tuscan vegetable soup or a spinach salad for a first course, from housemade pappardelle pasta, grilled salmon fillet or chicken scallopini for a second course, and a flourless chocolate torte or pear fritters for a dessert.
