Award-winning pioneer in chemical projects to speak at Ott-Lecture

Kevin Shokat, an investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will be giving a lecture and seminar for students on his experience in the development of chemical methods for analyzing and investigating cellular pathways. Shokat has received several awards, such as the Eli Lilly Award, which is given to the most promising and successful biological chemist in the country that is under the age of 37. He will be giving a public lecture on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Cook-Dewitt Center, as well as a seminar at 1 p.m. in the Manitou Hall.
