Stauffer named GVSU Student-Athlete of the Week

Freshman forward Kendra Stauffer of the No. 1 Grand Valley State University women’s soccer team has
been named the GVSU Student-Athlete of the Week following a pair of impressive offensive
performances.

Stauffer assisted on the lone goal from junior forward Jenny Shaba in the team’s 1-0 victory over
Saginaw Valley State University on Friday before scoring a pair of goals in a 5-0 rout over Northwood
University on Sunday.

The Alto, Mich. native has been a difference maker for GVSU (6-0-1) since joining the team for the
2013 season, and currently leads the way with 10 points (three goals and four assists).

The team, which has not allowed a goal in seven games this season, will attempt to push its winning
streak to seven games against Malone University at home on Friday at 7 p.m.
