GVSU music professor wins international competition

Dan Graser, a visiting assistant professor in the department of music and dance at Grand Valley State University, and his saxophone quartet won first prize at this year’s Concert Artists Guild International Competition. The group, called Donald Sinta Quartet, received $5,000, a management contract with Concert Artists Guild and a debut recital at Carnegie Hall with their win. The competition was held on Oct. 22 in New York and hosted over 300 applicants.
