Sheri Fink, author of the current Community Reading Project selection “Five Days at Memorial,” will visit Grand Valley State University to discuss her book in a public presentation.

“Five Days at Memorial” is about the disastrous effects of Hurricane Katrina seen through the perspective of a New Orleans Hospital. Fink’s book won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction and was included on the New York Times best-selling list.

The first presentation will take place at 7 p.m. on March 24 at the Herrick District Library in Holland. Fink will follow this up with a second presentation at 7 p.m. on March 25 in the Kirkhof Center.
