Engineering program earns national accreditation
Jun 18, 2012
Grand Valley State University was one of 29 institutions in the U.S. named as an Exemplar of Real World Engineering Education by the National Academy of Engineering. The national recognition was for work done in GVSU’s Padnos College of Engineering and Computing, and the university was recognized at the American Society for Engineering Education’s annual conference June 10-13.
Paul Plotkowski, dean of the engineering college, told GVSU News and Information Services that the 100 percent job placement rate for GVSU engineering graduates can be attributed to the growing need for engineers, and that this recognition demonstrates the university’s strong partnerships with the community and statewide industries.
