Michigan, GVSU lead NCAA in average attendance

For the second straight season, Lubbers Stadium led all NCAA Division II teams with an average attendance of 12,034 fans per game.
The Grand Valley State University football team finished with a record of 8-3 last season, taking home the the GLIAC North Division title in the process.
Michigan Stadium was once again the place to be in Division I, as their 112,252 fans per game set a new record in NCAA athletics. The “Big House” has owned the record for the past 15 seasons.
The Lakers will kick of the 2013 season on a three-game home stand, starting with Azusa Pacific on Sep. 7.
