Pantera to play concert in Grand Rapids

Pantera’s “Cowboys From Hell” tour is coming to Grand Rapids on Feb. 20 at the Van Andel Arena. Pantera will play alongside Lamb of God and Child Bite for a night of heavy metal. The show begins at 7 p.m.

AAAS to screen film for Black History Month

As part of Black History Month at Grand Valley State University, the African & African American Studies (AAAS) program will be screening the film “Judas and the Black Messiah” at the Mary Idema Pew Library on Wednesday, Feb. 21. The film follows the FBI’s infiltration of the Illinois Black Panther Party during the late 1960s. 

Students are encouraged to stop by the library’s multipurpose room from 3-5:30 p.m. to watch the film.

GV Symphony Orchestra to perform

The Grand Valley State University Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Louis Armstrong Theater in the Haas Center for the Performing Arts on Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The performance will be conducted by Joel Schut, Director and Conductor of the Symphony Orchestra.

GVSU Symphony Orchestra concerts are free to attend.
